Most questions are answered below. For anything else, send an email and include the place (town or county) and the time of the alert you are asking about.
Make sure alerts sound
Open Hunker, go to Settings and tap Send test alert. If you do not hear it:
- In iPhone Settings, Notifications, Hunker, turn on Allow Notifications, Sounds and Time Sensitive Notifications
- If you use a Focus such as Sleep, allow Time Sensitive notifications for it
Why did I not get an alert?
Hunker alerts when a National Weather Service warning covers a saved place. On the free plan that is tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings that could produce a tornado, for your first place.
Alerts need a working internet connection and Apple's push service. Hunker complements, and does not replace, NOAA Weather Radio and Wireless Emergency Alerts.
How accurate are the hail sizes?
They are NOAA radar estimates (MRMS Maximum Estimated Size of Hail), and are often off by half an inch or more. They are good at showing whether hail fell near an address. Ground storm reports are shown next to them when available.

Subscriptions
Manage or cancel in Settings, Apple Account, Subscriptions on your iPhone. On a new device, open Hunker Settings and tap Restore purchases.
Share places with family
In Settings, tap Send as file or Send a link. The other person opens it on an iPhone with Hunker to add the same places.
